"Sprint champion Kelli could lose medals"

Kelli won the 100 and 200 metres sprints at the World Athletics Championships in Paris, 2003, but could now be stripped of her two gold medals after testing positive for a substance.

But now she's tested positive for something called Modafinil, which fights tiredness, and used in the treatment of narcolepsy.

The substance isn't on the list of banned things which athletes mustn't take, but it's related to drugs which are banned, and it's likely to be forbidden at next year's Olympic Games.

The IAAF said it was looking into whether Kelli has done something wrong. If they say she has, she could lose her medals and face a two-year suspension.

Kelli has denied doing anything wrong. She said she took medicine for an illness. "I know that I did nothing wrong. I am confident that things will work out in the end."
