Amy is world under-18 silver medallist in the 100m and 200m, despite still having two years left in the age group.

Her hero is one of the all-time athletics greats, and although she would like to emulate his achievements she's keeping her feet firmly on the ground.

"My sporting hero is Jesse Owens," said Amy.

"I really admire him for going to Germany and competing at the Olympics when Hitler was in charge and overcoming all that adversity."
