Stephanie was 65th at the English Schools Cross-country Championships in Hylands Park.

2002-2003

Stephanie was 14th at Nottingham, 18th at Margate, in the U15 girls races in the 2002-2003 Reebok Challenge series. 

 

 

2003

Stephanie took the silver in the Hampshire Cross-country championships (Dibden Enclosure) in 12:39.

At the English Nationals Stephanie Twell won the Bronze at Parliament Hill.

Stephanie was 8th in the Junior Girls' race at English Schools Cross-Country Championships (Stanmer Park, Brighton) in March.

She was 8th at the Junior Girls Home Nations Cross-country International in Dublin in a time of 12:36.

Stephanie won the Guildford area Track and Field championships 1500m.

Stephanie was 5th in the U15 girls 1500m at the SEAA Track and field championships, with a time of 4:46.03.

Stacey was ?th in he 1500m at English Schools (Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield) in a time of 4:??.??.

Stephanie was 7th in the AAA U15/U17 1500m in Sheffield in a time of 4:48.44.

Stephanie was 3rd in the U15s race at the Reebok Challenge in Margate, in a time of 10.36.

Stephanie was 2nd in the U15s race at the Reebok Challenge in Sefton Park,  Liverpool, in a time of 9.55

Stephanie won the SEAA Inter-counties cross-country championships on 6th December in Stowe, Buckinghamshire in a time of  15:38.

2004

Stephanie was 3rd in the U15s race at the Hampshire Cross-country Championships on January 3rd 2004 in a time of 12:08.

She was ? in the South of England Cross-country U15s Race at Parliament Hill, London in a time of ?.

Stephanie was ? in the Hampshire Cross-country League Series 2003/2004. AFD also picked up the Team Gold.

At the English Nationals Stephanie Twell earned Gold the lung-bursting way. She waited until the last 100m of the remorseless uphill finish before powering to victory, 15m ahead of the defending Champion, Danielle Walker (Royal Sutton Coldfield).

Patience seems to have been the key to Twell’s success. She explained: “It was a hard start. It was so crammed, you almost had to walk. I got going right on the outside and thought for a long time that I would be third. I got so much encouragement from the crowd – not just AFD but people I didn’t even know – it was tremendous.”

Pre-race: Nottingham:  Stephanie Twell (177) won the English National title, just two seconds ahead of the Midlands’ Dannie Walker. Proving yet again the strength in depth of Aldershot, Farnham and District AC in the age groups, at the South of England Championships Twell was second to her team-mate Stacey Preston (174). Twell was also second in the Reebok Liverpool Cross Challenge in November.

Stephanie was 3rd in the U15s race at the  Reebok Inter-counties in Nottingham. Hampshire won the Team Gold.

 

 

Stephanie was 3rd in the Reebok 2003/2004 series, with 100 points.

 

 

In March, Stephanie was 7th in the Inter Girls' race at English Schools in Maidstone, Kent. Hampshire & Vectis were 2nd in the team score.

In April Stephanie Twell took the individual silver medal in 15:39 as the English School's Intermediate Girls' team ran away with the team gold in the Home Countries Cross Country International at Ayr. The race was won by Wales' Non Stanford in 15:11.
