As an Under 13, she was 3rd in the series.
2002
Laura was 22nd at the English Schools Cross-country Championships in Hylands Park, Chelmsford in 14:42.
2002-2003
Laura was 4th in the U15 girls standings in the 2002-2003 Reebok Challenge series, with 98 points. She was 12th at Nottingham, 2nd at Cardiff and Margate and 3rd at Liverpool.
2003
Laura took the silver medal in the U15 girls 1500m at the SEAA Track and field championships, with a time of 4:40.21. She was then 6th at the Junior Girls SIAB Cross-country International in Dublin in a time of 12:33.
Laura took the bronze medal in the English Schools Cross-Country Championships (Stanmer Park, Brighton) in March. She then went on to take bronze medal in the English Schools (Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield) 1500m race in 4:39.21.
Laura was 4th in the U15s race at the Reebok Challenge in Margate, in a time of 10.42.
2004

Laura was 7th in the South of England Cross-country U15s Race at Parliament Hill, London in a time of 18:17.
Pre-race: Nottingham: Laura Dowsing (395) is third in the Reebok Cross Challenge standings with 57 points – just as she was third in the Junior Girls race at last winter’s English Schools Championships.
In March, Laura was 49th in the Inter Girls' race at English Schools in Maidstone, Kent.
