2001-2002

As an Under 15, she was 2nd in the series.

2003

Leonie was 6th in the Inter Girls' race at the English Schools Cross-country Championships (Stanmer Park, Brighton) in March.

Leonie was 2nd in the Intermediate Girls' SIAB Cross-country International in Dublin in March, in a time of 14:25.

Leonie was 8th in the 3000m final at English Schools (Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield) in 10:19.07. 

Leonie was 9th in the U17s/U20s race at the Reebok Challenge in Margate, in a time of 12.19.

2004

Leonie was 2nd in the U17s race at the Hampshire Cross-country Championships on January 3rd 2004 in a time of 18:59.

Pre-race: Nottingham: Leonie Smith (153) is part of the squad coached at Aldershot, Farnham and District AC by Mick Woods, the UK Athletics Endurance Performance Centre Manager. She has played huge parts in successes by both club and county since they appeared in the sport as Under 13s.
