Hayley Yelling won Saturday’s Scottish leg of the Reebok Cross Challenge series in Falkirk’s Callendar Park.
The Windsor and Eton athlete repeated her victory of last year leading from gun to tape to win in a time of 22mins 24secs.
Tara Krzywicki finished in second place and after an injury ravaged summer; Edinburgh’s Freya Murray will be pleased with her third place.
In the men’s race Peter Riley of Trafford AC won comfortably in 29:25 nearly half a minute ahead of Mike Skinner.
Eilish McColgan continued her run of good performances to take the under 13 event.
