Charlotte set the AFD U13 girls 800m, 1000m and 1500m records with 2:19.8, 3:06.4 and 4:47.2 respectably.
Charlotte won silver at the English Schools Championships (Don Valley Stadium, Sheffield), running 4:37.68 in the final after 4:43.87 in the heat.
2001-2002
As an Under 15, she won the series.
2002
Charlotte took the silver in the English Schools Cross-country Championships in Hylands Park, Chelmsford in 13:51.
Charlotte set the AFD U15 girls 1500m record with 4:30.12.
Charlotte was 2nd on the uka: U15 girls outdoor rankings for 2002 with 2:12.31, behind Nikki Hamblin. She was 1st on the 1500m rankings with 4:30.12.
Charlotte was disqualified from the final at the English Schools Championships 2002 (Harvey Haddon Stadium, Nottingham), after winning her heat in 2:15.18.
2003
Charlotte was 11th in the Inter Girls' race at the English Schools Cross-country Championships (Stanmer Park, Brighton) in March.
Charlotte set the AFD U17 girls 800m and 1500m records with 2:08.48 and 4:26.80 respectably.
At 15, Charlotte was 4th in the Junior Great North Mile event, and only 4 seconds on winner, Faye Fullerton.
Charlotte was 7th in the U17s/U20s race at the Reebok Challenge in Margate, in a time of 12.19.
Charlotte won the 2003 Youth Achievement Award, given by Chichester District Council. She was described as "an outstanding runner who in the past twelve months has become the Southern Inter-Counties Champion and the UK Inter-Counties Champion at 1500m."
2004
Charlotte was 4th in the U17s race at the Reebok Challenge in Cardiff, in a time of 14:50.
Charlotte was 8th in the South of England Cross-country U17s Race at Parliament Hill, London in a time of 21:23.
1st Feb - Charlotte (currently) tops the U17 and U20 girls indoor rankings 2004 with 4:36.57 for 1500m (8th senior).
Charlotte won the Inter Girls race at the South-East English Schools Cross-country Championships on 14th February at Wellington College in Berkshire. Sussex were 3rd in the team score.
Charlotte was 4th at the English Nationals, but AFD took the team title.
Charlotte Browning, aged 16, won U17s 1500m race at the AAA Indoor Championships in Birmingham in a time of 4:29.90, the fifth fastest on the UK all-time list for Under-17s.
Pre-race: Nottingham: Charlotte Browning (368), who was sixth in the 1500m at last summer’s IAAF World Youth Games in Canada, has accumulated 56 points in the Reebok Cross Challenge standings this winter and was fourth in the English National when leading her Aldershot, Farnham and District AC training mates to yet more Team Gold medals. She has already achieved Inter-Counties and English National double victories as an Under 13 in 2001 and an Under 15 in 2002. She repeated her Under 15 success in last year’s Inter-Counties Championships.
Charlotte was 7th in the U20s race at the Reebok Inter-counties in Nottingham.
