Pre-race: Nottingham:   Non Stanford (Wales West, 453), last winter’s Inter-Counties Silver medallist behind Charlotte Browning, is currently joint first in the Reebok Cross Challenge standings in this age group with 62 points – but only because she drifted up to the Under 17s in search of stronger competition at Cardiff (and finished second to Emily Pidgeon). Stanford retained the Welsh Under 15 title with impressive ease a fortnight ago. In Reebok races this winter, she won the Under 15 Girls races at Liverpool and Margate.
